Debbie has been in Media for over 22 years and moved to NOVUS Canada in 2019 after 18 years in various media sales roles at leading vertically integrated media organizations in Canada. She held leadership roles at Bell Media, Astral Media and Rogers Sports & Media delivering innovative media solutions, first to market branded sponsorships, and strategic sales solutions across both French & English markets.
Debbie joined NOVUS to shape the strategy and vision for the company and has used her expertise in media sales to grow the Canadian division of NOVUS dramatically into the largest Out-of-Home Specialist agency in Canada. By being proactive about planning and buying media, the agency works as a sales division that delivers comprehensive media campaigns, for top tier advertisers to reach their audiences in a data-driven, contextual, and meaningful way.
Debbie holds several certificates, including a Program on Negotiation & Leadership through the Harvard Law School and a Mental Health Leadership Certificate from Queens University. Since 2019, she has served on the board of directors for the DPAA, the global digital Out-of-Home advertising association in addition to a board seat on COMMB, the Canadian Outdoor Measurement and Marketing Bureau.
Debbie holds an MBA from Ivey Business School (2018), a Statistical Science Degree from the University of Western Ontario (1998) and graduated with the Award of Excellence, from Humber College’s Media Sales Post Graduate Diploma Program (1999). Outside of media, she is a mom to two teenagers, a certified spin instructor and has a passion for dance and fitness.
